At their weekly meeting on Monday November 5th, the members of the Bethel Area Rotary Club voted unanimously to donate $500 to Rotary Districts in New Jersey and New York for distribution to the victims of Hurricane Sandy. One board member noted that some residents of the Bethel community had expressed a desire to help the victims of the storm, but had not quite decided what or how they were going to go about it. If the Bethel Community would like to help they can donate through the Bethel Area Rotary Club and all donations will be forwarded to the Rotary Districts in New Jersey and New York, as the clubs there will know exactly what the immediate needs of the people there are. Rotary oversees the distribution of its own monies to make sure it gets to where it is most needed. If anyone in the area would like to donate to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy they may make their checks payable to the Bethel Area Rotary Club, P.O. Box 239, Bethel, VT 05032.
